IS THERAPY FOR ME
Therapy can benefit anyone from those who are "feeling stuck" or dissatisfied and don't know how to shift things, to people who are facing major challenges such as depression, anxiety, chronic illness, trauma or grief and loss.
Therapy can be useful for people who want learn more about themselves, engage in personal development or personal growth, develop better communication or relationship skills, explore their creativity or blocks to creativity, explore their identity, their gender or sexuality or develop a better understanding of work and work place challenges. It can be a form of deep soul work or a way to work on a particular issue.
What ACTUALLY HAPPENS IN A THERAPY SESSION
Well this depends on what you need and want; it's something we can work out together. Whilst psychotherapy is fundamentally talking therapy, it can also involve gestalt style "experiments", making art, doing body focused and somatic work, or learning self-support methods such as mindfulness. However you choose to engage you set the limits and we work at a pace that best supports you.
HOW LONG DOES THERAPY TAKE
Again, this depends on you and what you want, it can be short or long term, a few weeks or a few years, focusing on a single issue or exploring more broadly and holistically your life and life patterns.
